View Full Version : Football Browns are idiots
They got next to nothing for trading out. If this was the best we were offered, we did right to stay put.

They basically got a 2nd round pick and some scrub players...that was more about not wanting to pay the money.

I agree. If that was the BEST offer they got, then I'm glad we just made our pick. So much for Sanchez fetching a king's ransom. Glad we didn't draft him just to hold him hostage, because it doesn't look like we would have gotten shit for him.

I would have been disappointed if the Chiefs had made that trade.

Jets gave up #17, #52 and DE Kenyon Coleman, S Abram Elam and QB Brett Ratliff.

Everybody needs to understand that the absurd economic consequences of a top 5 pick are making them less and less valuable all the time.
Peter King or someone mentioned that the Pats last year, by moving from 7 to 10 and getting Jerod Mayo, went from paying about $30MM in guaranteed dollars, to just 16.
At the top, you're at 45 or so million in guaranteed money. For guys that hve never played a single snap in the NFL. it's completely nuts.

I bet the Browns really coveted Maualuga. If you don't have a guy you want on the board in the top 5, why would you force a pick onto your roster? They don't need Raji. The only guy they passed on was Crabtree.
