Yeah, Basketball player turned Right Tackle. Chase Daniel said he was the cornerstone of MU's O-line.

I like the pick. Classic Pioli "needle in haystack" late round o-lineman.

I'll go out on a limb and sway he starts day one and is pro bowl by year four.

Anyone know anything about this guy???I've met the dude personally a few times...and he's enormous. Very big dude, very smart and a good character guy.

He doesn't handle speed-rushers well at all, IMO. Not very great feet.

he walked on at Mizzou & earned a scholarship & starting spot by his sophomore year I believe....hard-worker, very intelligent....

SI projected him as a FA.Yeah..he might have been worth taking in the 7th, but the 5th is a big reach.

Well, I did find "a picture" of the guy.

6'7" and 340 pounds??? That's a lot of tackle for a DE to move!

It's only a bad pick if he sucks. If he can play, down the road we won't give a fuck about spending a 5th on him. On the other hand, if he's Jordan Black, then yes it was a bad pick.

He's got the size to play nose tackle - wonder if he can play?:):)

Yeah..he might have been worth taking in the 7th, but the 5th is a big reach.

If nothing else, Pioli is a massive upgrade over Carl Peterson because he didn't draft Trezel Brown #31 overall.

But perhaps fairly easy to go around.

A donk fan living in dungver attempting to smack talk KSU & KU fans for a Chiefs' pick? Must be sun spots or altitude sickness. Regardless, karmic nuthooks can't be far away. :)

The Patriots probably "accidentally" let it slip to Pioli that they intended to draft Colin Brown.

I'm a KU fan and I could give a shit less what college a Chiefs player is from. I'm not offended or scorned in any way.

Even if a guy that big is easy to go around it takes about 4 more steps than normal to do it.

True. The opposing defenders would eventually become tired from all that running.

The problem was that we could have gotten him in the 6th or 7th likely, and we let two excellent pass catching TEs slip by (that could have given some interesting targets to Cassel). There are plenty of big slow freaks of nature available at OL. Only two tremendous athlete TEs (now gone) who dropped because of injury concerns.
