These dumb asses keep turning the sirens on.. leave them on for 1 or 2 minutes then shut them off.

5 minutes later?

Back on for 1 or 2 minutes and then off again.

5 minutes later?

SAME FUCKING THING!

Either we have a tornado warning or not... make up your fucking minds.

they are telling you guys to hide from the rioting and mass civil chaos that is about to begin due to the chiefs taking a tight end

They are just making sure you all are paying attention. Must have worked. They have done that here a time or two and I was glad they did.

The sirens went off in medicine Lodge, KS about an hour ago...went off twice today. My father said its been hailing, heavy rains, strong winds since the storm entered their area. Better keep an eye on it. ML is about 90 minutes southwest of Wichita.

The storms moving northeast, missed us here in alva, OK by a couple miles.

Im scared. You should've said "hold me". It would've been fun watching the replies to that.

We're under a tornado watch until midnight, and I'm working until 11.

god's out to get me on the way home.

Weather forecasters in Wichita are idiots, but they try to cover their ass.

The dumbasses here blow the "tornado" sirens every time there is a severe thunderstorm warning. Less that 2 years we've had them, and already everyone ignores them..

You're in Alva? I got a work order to go there the other day. I sent it back.

the second time there was a rope tornado over lake Afton around Goddard/maize

I hardly think it was for nothing

neither of which are in the city of wichita....

they are the burbs and the sirens are for the entire COUNTY

I have no problem with it

but then again I lost friends in the Andover tornado in 91 so I appreciate the care and warnigns they give us

ignore at your own risk?

ignore at your own risk?

yup

my friends didn't have that luxury,

they didn't get warning soon enough

I am sure that anyone who lived through that would gladly take the advanced warning for the COUNTY instead of 30 seconds for their area!

Yep, they automatically alarm the entire county. They were blaring at 6:20 this morning for a possible tornado 13 miles away and not heading anywhere close to our direction. I would rather they err on the side of caution anytime.

There was one on the ground about 5 miles away from Mid Continent Airport. All this on the 18th anneversary of the Andover,McConnellAFB,Haysville.S SE Wichita tornado. That was one mean son of a gun. Here is one of the better youtube videos of it:
