I figured I'd share this with my CP brethren (and sistren?)...

You can pick up a cheap ass staples omnitech GPS here:

Google for a staples coupon code $25 off for $100 purchase and that gets you below $50 after the rebate.

The default software sucks ass, but this thing is totally hackable. I just got mine today so I have yet to hack it, but my co-workers were showing me their omnitech running tomtom, garmin, igo, navigon, etc. I plan to put navigon and igo on one sd card and provide a boot menu so I can switch whenever I want.

The best hacking and mod instructions I found are on the following site, but it requires you to register:

Enjoy!

It has an SD card and boots/runs off of that. I have an SD card right now that has Navigon, Tom Tom, and Igo on it with only maps for a few states. I have another card with Garmin and maps for all US states. My buddies at work have some games and other apps running on theirs.

oh - and you can use USB and activesynch, but you're really just messing with files on the sd card so why bother.
