Going for three game streak!

Divisional Opponent!

7:10pm
Fox Sports TV

Ponson vs Slowey

Let's hope Ponson is eager for some revenge against his former team.

Hopefully, I'll be able to actually participate in this one.

Petro talking about KC catchers brings up a great point:

The knock on Olivo all last year and the justification for playing Buck was that John called a better game...

Imagine what Greinke would be like this year if Olivo wasn't essentially his personal catcher. -3.45 ERA, I'm guessing. The other team would have to lay runs.

I like Seitzer. Hope he sticks.

The hitting coach has been the one who has had to fall on the obligatory sword because of the team's lack of talent, though. Used to be the pitching coach, but now it's the offense.

Royals 1-4 in 1-run games.

Hillman continues to play small ball and manage for 1-run games.

Hillman doesn't manage well or THINK in one run games.

Hopefully if we get into a one run situation late, he'll bring in MaHay, who's a guaranteed 2 runs in every appearance.

Of course, we'll be in said situation because of the utter refusal to bunt runners over (assuming we get any)- justification being Ponson's on the mound and he was "going for the big inning".

Hillman's offensive formula? "Hit singles and then hope someone hits a home runs".

Not really.

He's been playing small ball all year. Laying down the bunt all the time. Best example: sac bunting with runners on 1st and 2nd with 0 outs and the #3 hitter at the plate, very early in the game.

In Trey's mind, we don't play in the AL.
