Dude that fucking blows. I know this was your passion and you were damn good at your job. If the parks and rec job got cut in my hometown, it wouldn't even be a blip in the free newspaper circulated. It says a lot about you that the newspapers singled you out as a driving force and hard worker in the community.

Sorry to hear about it. But that was a nice write up. Some people probably go through their jobs and do as little as possible and sneak by for 30 years. I don't know if that will just piss you off more or make you glad you actually did something worthwhile and beneficial to your community, but I had to say. I wish you the best.

I agree, it was one of the most traumatic and disorienting things I'd endured at the time. But it ended up being one of the biggest unwanted blessing I ever got.

Keep your eyes, ears, and heart open and it might end up that way for you as well.
