Several week ago, I got a letter from Comcast telling me they would be dropping the NFL network on May 1st unless Comcast and the NFL came to some kind of an agreement. At the bottom of this Comcast letter, they told me that since I could no longer watch the NFL network, they'd give me a free upgrade for my internet access or some free pay-per-view movies. I called about the free movies and a lady told me she was sending me some coupons. I never got the coupons so this morning I called again to ask about my free movies. They told me that they are giving me unlimited free pay-per-view movies until April of 2010.

I kept asking her "what's the catch".

Do they have RedBoxes in KC, yet? I have become a RedBox fan. 1 Dollar movies, new releases, great selection, on-line reservations, and, if you sign up on their web site, they'll send you a text message each Monday with a promotional code for a free movie. That's one free movie every week!!! The only downside is that you have to return them by 9:00 pm on Tuesday, but if you can make Monday a movie night, you're golden ... or red.

Been getting free movies from them for over a year now. I have my 2 cards so I get 2 movies and get them back the next day. Just wish my DVD burning software wouldn't have crapped out on me.

Plus you can raise your kid properly by watching all of those. Except for Fried Green Tomatoes. No one cares about that whore, Julia Roberts

The catch is that they took away NFL network. Speaking as someone stuck with Time Warner, it sucks.
