Sounds good.

After reading the reviews I'm hoping Tarintino didn't go too far over the top (Brad Pitt or one of his soldiers having a machine gun for a leg over the top) in this one.

Let's keep it Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs over the top. Stick with the girl who brought you to the dance.

they should really stop advertising winter films in the summer damnit! That's when the real movies come out and I'm not a very patient person.

That was Planet Terror directed by Robert Rodriguez, who's also going to helm the new Predator movie.

Well, Grindhouse was supposed to be over the top. That was the point. And Robert Rodriguez might be to blame for that anyway. I guess they co-wrote both, but Rodriguez directed Planet Terror. Personally, I thought both movies were a lot of fun.

That said, I'm really looking forward to this. And I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Predators are Coming July 7, 2010 (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=54819)

20th Century Fox has already set a July 7, 2010 release date for Robert Rodriguez's Predators, which the studio promises to be "a bold new chapter in the Predator universe."

Rodriguez officially announced the project just yesterday, calling the project "a reboot of the 'Predator' series." Rodriguez previously wrote a Predator 3 that was then discarded because it was "too big."

As far as competition, Paramount has The Last Airbender scheduled for a July 2, 2010 release and Universal Pictures is eyeing July 9, 2010 for Despicable Me.

When the action did finally start in Death Proof, it was pretty nuts.

And I don't think you have anything to worry about.I actually didn't know Rodriguez directed them, caught them late night on some indie channel and wasn't too impressed. I like it when the writers/directors keep a semblance of reality in the theme. The girl with the machine gun leg kinda was a WTF for me.

To each his own though. Looking forward to this one as well. Pitt could play a neat psycho (12 Monkeys, Kalifornia, Fight Club).

As much as I want to hate the guy for all the crazy girls he gets he can be a hell of an actor in the right role.

It was the sole Tarantino movie that I found even a little bit enjoyable. Usually, Tarantino = crapola. I won't waste my money on Inglorious Bastards.

He's good in some movies, not so much in others. I liked him in Iron Man and Tropical Thunder. I also liked some of his early films, before he went all addict on us.

Given your list of "good" Ron Howard films, and your scrutiny of Meryl Streep, I don't find this terribly shocking.

It's very subjective. I don't enjoy Tarantino's movies, never have. I find them silly to the point that the silliness overbears the comedy and the drama both. Nobody is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to agree.

It's silly to say that I don't like Tarantino movies and that you don't have to agree? What, are you sucking Quint's dick on the side, is that why my opinion has got your panties in a wad?

No, it's silly to freak out and lecture me on the finer points of personal opinion and taste on cinema. That and you didn't recognize a famous quote from a movie that we were directly referencing. That and you still don't get the joke.

Not outright, but complaining about a machine gun legged hottie in a campy B rated horror flick is like going swimming and complaining about getting wet. A "semblance of reality" is not what these movies are known for!
