View Full Version : Chiefs Poll: Will Tony G's fantasy numbers rise or fall?

I say fall considering the tough schedule that Atl faces, Turner, Jenkins and White all getting the ball.

He will have good nunbers but he's seen his last 1,000 yards, 10 tds and 90 catch seasons.

Since it wasn't a choice I'll have to write it in......who gives a shit.

They will fall.

Unless we trade Thigpen for Matt Ryan.;)

I think they probably fall. Most players have an adjustment period when they go to a new team and a new league. Matt Ryan won't be focused as much on Gonzo as Thigpen was.

Tony G has been pretty consistent throughout his career, his numbers should stay about the same IMO.

Perhaps, but the difference is that he's always been the one in place while other QB's have come and gone. Now, he's going to a situation on an offense that was already functioning pretty well before he got there. I doubt the offense is designed around him near as much as it was here. It won't have anything to do with his own abilities or performance, but will instead have to do more with the fact that they just don't need him as much as we did.

Atlanta will not have the stench of the KC cattle yards to cover the smell of his vegan farts. Nor the forgiveness of 13 year fans.

They'll fall. ATL had a pretty good offense without Tony, and I don't think he's going to steal away a ton of Roddy White's balls, or is going to take away some of Turner's carries.

I still expect him to probably go for like 55 rec/700 yards/5 TD's.

He'll definitely have another good year, and be an important weapon, but he won't be the focal point of their offense like he seemed to be in KC.

I think Tony G has something to prove-he should end up around 1300 yards and 14 TD's.

they will stay about the same.

he's one of those players who on a good team is going to do well, and on a team with a bad offense will also do well because they will funnel the ball to him more in the absence of... anything else that works. See: Chiefs offense the last few years.

he may end up with more touchdowns though, because ATL will have more than just that one option in the red zone

They will definitely fall. Tony isn't going to get force fed the ball like he did with Thigpen.

He'll have some pretty good numbers, but probably not as much as he got here. The Falcons will win the division this year and I see TG having a few years in a row of playing in the playoffs.

Nice attitude. As if you can't read the title an no what is inside. What schmuck you are. Punk ass.

The Flacons have a potent balanced offense and Tony should flourish.

Not to mention playing with his first NFL cailber QB.

He must be in heaven.

Trent Green didn't belong in the NFL at all.

I think his TDs will pick up while his catches and yards will fall. Depends on how the league scores.

There is a reason Trent Green was passed around the NFL like a joint at a Phish concert...

He got a terrible concussion after many productive years in the NFL?

Couldn't agree more with THIS.

Also, ATL will miss the NFL playoffs also.

A QB that played for a lot of teams? Crazy!

He was a good QB with the Rams and the Chiefs. There's no question that he "belonged in the NFL". Anyone who argues otherwise is ignorant.

Good?

maybe...as long as there was enough talent surrounding him...

As a Broncos fan, you should know how talented Kennison was. And he was the best WR.

If Gonzo had been in Dungver, NYG, Washington,Miami he would have been a hero for years......

ATL didn't bring him in as a decoy. He will have at least the same opportunities. too bad Crumpler didn't really pan out.

His numbers will fall, Atlanta doesn't need to force him the ball every third play, and every red zone appearance
