The Broncos released J.J. Arrington on Wednesday after it was determined the running back will need season-ending microfracture surgery on his troublesome right knee.

Too bad for him and the Broncos hit parade at RB keeps rolling even in the offseason.

He should have been a stud, I am equally pissed about this as I was about Travis Henry ruining his career.

Microfracture Surgery Coming For J.J. Arrington (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/05/28/microfracture-surgery-coming-for-jj-arrington/)

The news has gotten even worse for running back J.J. Arrington.

Cut by the Broncos on Wednesday, Arrington will undergo microfracture surgery on his injured knee, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

Arrington, who spent all of his career with the Cardinals, was expected to become the third-down back in the Broncos’ offense.
In hindsight, his departure shouldn’t be a complete surprise, given that his arrival was marred by concerns regarding the knee (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/04/arrington-does-deal-with-broncos-after-all/).
The Broncos’ concerns ended up being justified, as Arrington will now have the hit-or-miss procedure aimed at creating scar tissue that will perform like the cartilage that is no longer there.

McDaniels will have Orton winging it all over the field, no need for a running game now/Bronco Rub

This thread, apparently, is sanctuary from Donko Knob.

Awesome.

I still like the depth... Moreno can be huge in that offense with that line. Very nice receivers to make the defense respect the ground attack. Say what you will about Orton, but he can be productive and they can score points with the talent they have on offense. Can the defense do their thing? Who knows at this point, that side of the ball is still the major question mark...

Knowshon Moreno
Correll Buckhalter
LaMont Jordan
Ryan Torain
Darius Walker
Peyton Hillis

Peyton Hillis is a stud, but outside of him, I don't see it for the Broncos. Moreno looks to be a solid addition, but I believe Buckhalter and Jordon are on their last legs. The other two are clearly back-ups on any team.
