It lost a great guy. My Uncle, Glen Turner of Kearney Mo. lost his life in a traffic accident on the way to Springfield this morning. He was headed to pick up my cousin and then headed down to Texas to see my family. Even their dog was killed.

My family is in total shock. Everyone was soo looking forward to the visit-it has been hard on everyone since we lost my Aunt and Grandma to cancer recently.

I had to break the news to my kids. :deevee: My oldest daughter took it the hardest-she just had a benefit dinner and raised $300 for the Pancreatic Cancer foundation-In my Aunt's name.

I don't know which is worse, a total shock from nowhere or watching them whither away in pain.

He was an Awesome guy that helped his neighbors, did everything for everybody. Its a sad sad day. :deevee:

I'm very sorry Can, the longer we stick around this earth the more good people we lose.

That is what my Grandma said-she was tired of fighting cancer and said she had watched nearly everyone she ever loved die. She only kept fighting for me and our close family.

I appreciate the sentimate.

Thanks everyone-your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated!

My Aunt Bev has now lost 2 brothers in 2 months and is fighting Cancer. I guess I feel more upset knowing how much pain they are in-and I can't do SHIT about it.

Thank God my Cousin Sherry and my nephew were NOT in the car yet.

My Great Aunt just passed away yesterday (My Grandmas sister) so I have had back to back, calls of bad news. I am going to quit answering the phone for awhile.

That is awful. Will be praying for you and your family during this time. The only upside I found when my mom and uncle died close together was that it brought my family that much closer. May it do the same for you all.

Detoxing's sister seems to be on the road to recovery. Crazyhorse, though still struggling, may get a "new life" out of the deal. It's not much, but there's at least some good news.

Sorry to hear about this Halfcan. You're in my thoughts.

Sorry man. My condolences. I've trying to reconcile what I know about the crap that happens in the world; good people dying young, good people losing the ones they love. I figure God puts us on this plane to learn some lessons. God takes us when we've either learned that lesson, or more important lessons can be passed to those around those that passed. It's never easy, but I figure we're suipposed to get something out of it to get us closer to the Source.

Thanks for all the kind words-it really means a lot. What a Great bunch you are!!

The funeral is Sat and I will be a pallbearer. I guess he must have dozed off at the wheel-thank God nobody else was hurt. Probably from his medications and the early hour. The write up was in the Stars obits today. He was a US Army Vet, member of the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners and Christian Union Church. He was involved in tons of charity work and helped everyone with anything the needed. I got all the pictures and my girlfriend is doing a tape for the ceremony. I couldn't hardly look through them.

The family is requesting donations to the:

Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
2141 Rosecrans Ave.
Suite 7000
El Segundo, CA. 90245

or

Shriners Hospitol Transportation fund
5100 Ararat Drive
KC. MO.

Both do excellent work for people who really need it.

Thanks again for the kind words-they are much appreciated, it has been a very tough week to say the least.
