"Do you have some kind of mini tv out there? Because I don't think you are watching the same game?"

Adam Jones would be the first to come to mind, Ethier was a 2nd rounder as well.

But that's not what should bother you. What should bother you is the # of players selected after Chris Lubankski in that draft, the guy you fellas took at 5. Markakis, Stewart, Hill, Jackson, Billingsley, Quentin all went after him.

The draft is a crap-shoot, but the Royals failed yearly. Missing a handful of drafts is acceptable but missing on damn near all of them is pretty bad.

It's easy to miss when you don't try. Signability.

DDJ isn't comfortable mechanically right now, that's why he isn't leading off....

mechanics, like does he need some wd-40 or what?

DeezNutz
06-04-2009, 10:25 AM
Worried about DeJesus against LHP, but says that there's no problem with Jacobs.

Sure-Oz
06-04-2009, 10:26 AM
Jacobs is like pena jr right now

DeezNutz
06-04-2009, 10:27 AM
Hillman using numbers to defend his decision not to put DDJ in the leadoff spot.

Now this is funny. Right now more important than overall history.

if anyone still cares.

I was really excited about the Royals until their recent slide... now I really do not give a sh*t. You can say it's baseball, and they will get better... and I'd love to see it, but I really do not think it's going to happen. I've been seeing this sh*t for too many years.

Right now they are in full spin mode. Trying to convince the fans its not the same old sh*t of the past 15+ years.

But in reality it is. Spin it all you want, but all that matters are wins and losses.

final 4...

are you better this year??
Our chemistry, attitude, talent to some degree, work ethic is better....gotta be more consistent.

Believes in Kevin Seitzer 100%. Tremendous understanding and aptitude. Right guy for the job.

Tom Glavine was released....would you kick his tires? it's a baseball ops decision, a lefty would advantagous.....his age and difficulties in rehab, he wouldn't be worth the risk if he was Dayton.

Will the royals be above .500 again this year?? well we have the intention to, we need to get fully healthy! Not an excuse but it's a reality, we will get better offensively, hopefully today. Our starting pitching gets back to where it was, than yes we will be above .500...

God he rambles

We have no hitting. We can't score runs. Therefore we don't win any games.

Glass needs to pay to get some big bats. And I'm not talking about 3rd tier players like Guillen and Jacobs.

You know Soren is a great interviewer, but I think Hillman is bringing him down to his level. Hillman is just going on and on and Soren isn't jumping in. He's just talking in circles and Petro is letting him get away with it. This interview put my ass to sleep. Not Soren's finest hour.

Hillman on getting back to .500 "I'm sure hopeful that we will be" WTF Trey? :cuss: As the manager I'd like him to say absolutely or something along those lines. Maybe he's a realist and sees the fleas most everyone else does. Publicly I just figured I'd hear something different, but this is Royals baseball.

Don't forget we can't pitch past Greinke either.

The Royals are going out and hoping to win, the same way Hillbilly Herm is hoping to get back to .500.

Greinke is out best pitcher, and probably our best hitter.

Agreed,I thought Petro could've been a lot more candid,he sure seems to have no problem with it when he's talking Royals to the listeners.

I'd say Hillman's "right now" philosophy is pretty important and equally as disturbing.

That's why he throws darts during the game.

The Royals are second class citizens in the baseball world. They don't trade for good players and don't spend the cash to get them or keep them when they do have them.

I am confident they will never win anything the rest of my life.

I have nothing but luv for them but it's heart breaking.
