Get a dog, chili cheese fries and three beers while you're there. It's mandatory.

Ready for White to take over as manager.

"This early in the game, probably not." Regarding small ball in the fucking 2nd inning.

Hello, Right Now Trey.

Please don't play small ball in innings 1-7. Usually not in the 8th. But as needed in the 9th. Feel free to print and refer to this post as necessary.

Good thing Maier can't bunt.

Bad base running keeps us from possibly blowing the game open...however, it's nice to see the Teahen jack and the Royals playing good small ball.

These guys can't hit. If Davies can just throw some grapefruits for strikes, we will be OK.

You think hoch is available for middle relief today?

That was 150% the fault of the 3rd bsse coach.

Well, I guess they couldn't hit his stuff.

The Royals need to seriously consider sending Davies down until he can find his control. He had it at the beginning of the year and was really effective, but right now, he is trying to beat himself.:doh!:

Oh S***. Back to back singles on Bale. This guy has not been on lately.

Update: Of course, he then proceeds to strike out the side. Crazy.

Good win....the Soria's jack was bound to happen. Oh well...it happened, it is over and he looked like Soria after he gave it up.

Davies is lucky to walk away with a win.....5 BB's, 1 K and 54 strikes thrown in 100 pitches on top of 4 of the 5 walks coming to leadoff hitters. Any other night he looses

Well, thats just how it goes sometimes. A few weeks ago he pitched a complete game loss against Halladay.

I dont know if Davies is ever going to be anything "special", but at the least hes turning into a solid "innings eater" type.

More like a "Inconsistent innings eater". That's always been his problem.

I am happy about the 2 game win streak. Banny has a tough pitching match up tomorrow, but the way that the Reds have been hitting this series, I feel pretty good about it.

For my part, I will be out at PNC Park cheering for my adopted NL team at the Tigers-Pirates game. The Tigers got rocked tonight, and perhaps we can hope for the same tomorrow. They are wearing 1909 throwback jerseys in honor of the 1909 World Series win over Detroit. They are also not playing music and eliminating the other bells and whistles of the modern game. It will be interesting to get a sense for how people watched baseball in 1909.

We pulled ourselves out of the cellar tonight, and a win tomorrow can put us back into the division mix. Go Royals!

True... plus its fucked up... there are 16 teams in the NL and 14 in the AL... NO ONE had to move, if you ask me.
