Chiefs, Royals, Wizards, or other local teams, who is your favorite reporter?

Just for fun and out of curiosity to see if I can manage to get at least one vote haha.

Poznanski and it isn't close. He's in the absolute upper echelon of sports writers.

Neither Mitch Holthus or Lenny fall into the category of reporter.

I did put reporter/broadcaster on the line when it asked for the question, that way every person would be eligible to receive a vote..

I picked Jack Harry for entertainment value, though that's gone down since Peterson left.

For real insight I picked Petro.

Honorable mention to Klinkscale for quietly being able to make Keitzman tolerable at times.

Holthus gives updates on game day and during the week on radio. Lenny has been the channel 9 sports anchor for decades.

I didn't know that about Holthus, and forgotten about Lenny being a sports anchor for one of your local stations.

Mitch does a spot on most the afternoon radio shows during the season. Usually just a few minutes, might set in for an hour with Petro.

You need to separate Reporter and Broadcaster. Two different jobs, two different job descriptions, two different desired outcomes. It's apples and oranges. You may even want to ad written vs. broadcast/telecast. Grouping these all together is not fair to anyone.

I vote Lenny is a broadcaster and the best of the bunch. His dismay when things fall apart movingly mirrors my own.

Barring that, Poz FTW.

Well thankfully I allowed everyone to vote for more than just one person.

Either way, everyone here is part of the media.

Well then, shouldn't your post be "Favorite Sports Media Person/Persons"?

Not a lot of love for Metro Sports. I got a chance to intern at Metro early in the year and got a chance to know some of the staff there.

Losing the Royals really hurt Metro. I used to watch religiously at 6, but then bragging rights took over and I lost interest. I still watch when training camp heats up and on Sunday mornings for the lockerroom show and whatever else they have on before the game. I don't care for the jokester host, whatever his name is.

I agree. There should be a poll for most disliked sports reporter but you still read/or watch their program just to get worked up poll.

Joe Poz has won national awards for best sports columnist. He's won it more than once. He's had cover stories in SI. He's nationally respected. By far the most decorated local active sportswriter, and probably the best in KC since Joe McGuff.

Five votes for Fatlock, 4 for Wendler, and 3 for Athan? Wendler, maybe, since he posts here. But the other too? Seriously, this poll should have been made public so we could see who actually voted for those frauds.
