Former Chiefs GM Carl Peterson no longer unemployed
Six months after resigning from the top office with the Chiefs, a position he held for 20 years, Carl Peterson was named chairman of USA Football this week.
Peterson will oversee the organization's board of directors and work with youth programs in a number of capacities.
Members of USA Football's board include NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and players' association chief DeMaurice Smith. So Peterson's influence in the NFL will continue in his new role.
