I need a little help. I used to be a computer nerd but got away from it. Anyhow I got a litescribe dvd writer that needs a sata input. My mobo only contains ide cables. Should I just replace the mobo and power supply or do they make a conversion cable and if they do make a conversion cable how much is lost in the transfer.

I'd recommend installing a SATA add-in card rather than using a conversion cable, personally.
