KU slated for four Big Monday games
By J-W Staff Reports

The Kansas University men's basketball team will have four ESPN Big Monday games in the 2009-10 season, the Big 12 announced Thursday.

KU will have two home and two road Big Monday games, and during one stretch will play on Big Monday three weeks in a row.

The Jayhawks' first Big Monday game will be Jan. 25 when they play host to the Missouri Tigers.

Starting Feb. 8, KU will play on three straight Big Mondays: Feb. 8 at Texas; Feb. 15 at Texas A&M; and Feb. 22 vs. Oklahoma.

2010 ESPN Big Monday Schedule

January 11 — Oklahoma State at Oklahoma

January 18 — Texas at Kansas State

January 25 — Missouri at Kansas

February 1 — Texas at Oklahoma State

February 8 — Kansas at Texas

February 15 — Kansas at Texas A&M

February 22 — Oklahoma at Kansas

March 1 — Oklahoma at Texas

Note that every single one of those has either Kansas, Texas, or Oklahoma.

I like that Kansas gets 2 home games this year. Plus 4 games on Big Monday in 5 weeks. Nice.

Not sure I understand all the OU love from ESPN. Do they not realize that Blake Griffin is gone?

Not a good chance. Less than 3% chance IMO.

They'll lose 1-2. Texas and OU will be real good, and KSU, A&M, Oklahoma State, maybe even Iowa State will be no joke. ISU is in every game if Brackins goes off. Baylor can sneak up on you too. Oklahoma will be a lot better than everybody thinks this year. In fact, I really think they could finish #2 behind KU.
