Kansas City Chiefs Conducting "Takeover" of KCFX Studios

The Kansas City Chiefs are conducting an all-day takeover of the KCFX studios today. The “takeover” officially began at 7:00 AM this morning when “Voice of the Chiefs” Mitch Holthus and Chiefs Cheerleaders entered the studios and commandeered the 101 The Fox morning drive-time broadcast from KCFX personality “Slacker.”
Chiefs fans can tune into 101 The Fox all day to hear exclusive interviews conducted by Holthus. Guests scheduled to join the “Voice of the Chiefs” include Chairman Clark Hunt, General Manager Scott Pioli, head coach Todd Haley, as well as current and former Chiefs players. Holthus and the rest of the Chiefs Radio Network broadcast crew – Len Dawson and Kendall Gammon – will conduct interviews all day with a host of other Chiefs personalities throughout the day as the Chiefs continue the celebration of their 50th anniversary season in 2009.
Other guest DJs are scheduled to include Chiefs Television Network broadcaster Jayice Pearson, as well as former Chiefs greats such as G Will Shields. The all-Chiefs, all-day theme will continue through the afternoon drive-time broadcast with “Skid Roadie.” Special guests and Hall of Fame performers will be calling in throughout the day. In addition, former teammates and coaches will share their memories of the Chiefs newest Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, LB Derrick Thomas, who will officially be enshrined in Canton, Ohio on August 8th.
