I'm looking for the best/really cool pics/photos of DT.....

1. The safety pose....

2. The rain-drenched photo from the moonson bowl (w/Seattle or SD?) at Arrowhead in the late 90s...

3. The hits/safety? On No. 7 (can't remember his name) from the Donks...

4. Others, etc.

And, truth be told, "google image search" has not been kind....

Help, please??? :thumb:

I think the "Monsoon Bowl" was against Seattle.

Great pic of him sitting on the rain-drenched field.

Lots of great safeties pics against that asshat from Denver and Steve Young

You know what always struck me about DT?

He was not physically imposing whatsoever.

Maybe not, but he sure as sh*t made every LT in the NFL very nervous.

Compared to Merriman or Ware, maybe. But...at the time....he was a beast.

Bullshit.

Quick-twitch athletes are very intimidating figures.

(of course I understand your intent)

I remember that, he and the rest of the defense left it ALL on the field that game. Sad.

The other thing about DT was he was sort of pudgy. Especially later in his career. Gut city.

Just made him a more endearing figure.

When I saw the 7 sack game on the NFL Network I was like "damn, that was 19 years ago!" becuase I remember that like it was yesterday.

Gochiefs it was also because he went for the ball and got the turnover and stead of just crushing the qb. He probably could have ended some careers when he broke loose, but he understood getting the ball separeted from the qb was better than putting a helmet right in someones kidney (for everyone's health)

Are you out of your friggin mind; DT was a HUGE man. I met him on several occasions, he was a beast. 6'3" 255 and stacked qualifies as imposing.

I had that for my signature, (the non-animated one though). I didn't think it was that cheesy.

This is the animated version of my current signature. I wanted to use this as my signature, but the file size is too large. :cuss:

I had a front row seat for DT's entire Chiefs career. Very rare player that can determine the course of the game, by himself, from the defensive side of the football. He and Lawrence Taylor had the quickest burst on a pass rush I've ever seen.

The Seattle Rain Game was amazing. He never quit. And his rookie season, 7 Sacks against Seattle (and the Chiefs lose on the last play of the game), DT vs Elway always a classic Snoopy vs the Red Baron type matchup.

I used to work about two blocks from where DT lived in Independence. I'd see him whizz by in a black Mercedes convertible every once in awhile. I saw him in line at the bank in Independence once, and asked him if he'd like to trade paychecks. He just smiled and said "Bet I worked harder for mine than you did..." Couldn't argue with that.

I don't cry for athletes very often, but I drove to Arrowhead the night DT died, and just sat in the parking lot for awhile. The Chiefs have had their share of tragedies with Mack Lee Hill, Stone Johnson, Mike Webster. DT's was maybe the worst. The visitation in the end zone was also very special and very sad. He went way too early.

Anyway, I wish I could be in Canton this weekend, but my thoughts will be with DT's family, and I'm very proud that this guy, who represented what the Chiefs were all about in the Arrowhead Glory Days, is finally where he should be, in the HOF.

God Bless DT and the Kansas City Chiefs.
