this has driven me crazy for 3 years now. Huard, Croyle and then Thigpen. Now it's Cassel turn to drive us all crazy. I am praying with all my insides that he plays well ther rest of the way so at least this issue will be not be a factor.

It really sucks turning on the tube for the game and not know what you have in your QB.

Well, last week they emphasized the run, hopefully they emphasis the pass this week. And hopefully our receivers actually hang onto the ball. I think Cassel didn't look bad last week. He was on target.

Im hoping for the best but I'll admit I wasnt too happy when we traded for Cassel.I truly thought we'd go after Sanchez in the draft but we havent developed a QB in how long????
This buds to you Matt Cassel.Seriously though,if Thiggy, and Brodie keep it up maybe one of them will gain some trade value that we can use down the road, and the other will actually be a real back up and not a clip board carrier...Let us pray.

Better get use to it...odds are you won't even know what Cassel is by the end of this season.

I think Cassel season will be kind of like Trent Greens season was his first year here. But i still think he will be successful here, it just gonna take a year or two to get the personnel around him.

I know you're talking about developing a QB I went and looked up first round drafts and such...the Chiefs aren't the team that has gone the longest without one..they're tied for 3rd.

They will have to throw vs Minnesota. They aren't running the ball on that team.

You know, Haley may have anticipated this.

"We aren't running for shit against the Vikings...better roll out the RRPP against the Texans."

lol I doubt it. I wonder if they looked at the weather report and planned the game plan that way. That play calling looked like last years when Croyle was the QB and it was the same result. Fuck you Chan.

Considering it's preseason I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same thing this week...

You know, people wouldn't think you're so stupid if you simply didn't say so many stupid things. Just an FYI!

I thought my team knew what they had in qb last year with brady, but the first game he turned out to be injury prone and missed the entire year

ya we nicknamed Trent Green "Trint" based off of his first season here. Cassel isn't going to come in here and throw for 4,000 yds and 40 TDs. But we do want to see good stuff from him and a respectable TD/int ratio

Shoot, I'm sick of knowing how our OLine is going to do. Not knowing on this team is an upgrade.

Do any of you want the offense to succeed this year? Do you think the best way for this set of offensive personnel to excel is by throwing the football? Really?

This group is deep at running back and has ONE receiver that has any sort of proven explosiveness. Getting this group's timing and mindset to run the football is paramount to this group doing JACK SQUAT when the real bullets begin to fly.

Found this on a Broncos message board.

Just heard on the radio here in MO that Cassel has been playing poorly and was forced to sit for part of practice. LOL

I was listening to the radio and Coach Haley wouldn't say whether or not he was the best QB on the team.

This is from the KC Star Newspaper:
Haley mum on Cassel

Matt Cassel’s play has slipped since the early portion of training camp, and Tuesday’s practice wasn’t his best. He missed some throws, including one when he had Quinten Lawrence open deep. The ball was slightly underthrown and intercepted by Brandon Flowers.

Cassel’s struggles began during an intrasquad scrimmage two weeks ago when he committed three turnovers. He has had a problem with turnovers since and lost a fumble during last week’s preseason opener against Houston.

Asked whether Cassel has been the best quarterback in camp, coach Todd Haley deferred.

“I think I’ll hold out on answering that right now,” he said.
