Why isn't he playing his last game in KC as a Royal instead of a T-Bone(s)? It's not like putting Wilson out there would cost the Royals a game or anything.
Exactly what I was thinking when I heard that on 810 today.... WTF?
Willie is my 2nd favorite Royals player. He deserves to go out in style. I'm sad that it'll be the T-Bones... I have no idea what the situation is, but I really think he's better than that.

No, he just wanted to play his last game in KC. He is gonna play one game for the T-Bones and then retire again. Just a ceremonial type thing.

:doh!: I was like Holy Ricky Henderson batman-that is amazing.
Yep the Royals should class up and do something for him.
Said he wanted to retire on a professional KC team. Why that wasn't the Royals is what I want to know...

This stinks. Someone in the Royals organization is messing up if they don't get Willie in a game at the K.

The Royals are afraid he'll bring to much to the field and we'll lose out on the Harper Sweepstakes..

Willie was a base stealin mofo in his day.
The Royals won't allow it because they're probably afraid he'd shit all over their current OF corps.
Quite sad.

Yes. And he had the coolest pre-at-bat batting sequence ever... He was one of my all-time faves.
