When I was a kid I used to think that every year we had a shot to win the SB. Then I grew up and realized that the red and gold glasses had to come off. Is there a big enough homer on this site to go on record stating that our beloved Chiefs will win it all this year?

Just wondering.

Have another beer on me.

I would have to say we're early favorites, but I can't guarantee anything.

I'm guessing you didn't grow up watching them in the 70's and 80's?

In the 90's, I always thought "This is the year". Not so much anymore.:#

I will say Cassel seems like a take charge quarterback..the type of qb that no matter how much the talent around him sucks, he will make things happen on his own. He scrambles when he needs to, has the ability to buy time and make something out of nothing. We have the QB to get the job done, he just needs some protection in front of him and wrs to hang onto the ball

Where is Barry?

He and Knowblow are in the corner arguing which team team is going to the Super Bowl. KC or Denver. :D

Actually we never had a chance with Marty.... We had a shot once with DV, but his love for GROB cost us...

I cant remember when KC was a serious threat...

The couple years KC had Joe Montegna at QB, I thought there was a shot.

True, I was broad in my comments...

JOE was the ONLY shot we had with Marty and his lack of coaching abilites in the playoffs...

Sorry but the '97 loss to the Broncos I'll pin on the refs and Carl Peterson.

These teams give me hope. Yes, it's possible.

1981 49ers went from 6-10 in 1980 to winning Super Bowl XVI.

1999 Rams went from 4-12 in 1998 to winning Super Bowl XXXIV.

2001 Patriots went from 5-10 in 2000 to winning Super Bowl XXXVI.

Is there a chance? Of course. However, if I were a bettin' man, I'd put our odds at less than 1 in 100 or so.

I picked up some betting sheets while in Vegas.

The Mandalay Bay has us a 40-1 to win the SB.

Only 6 teams have the same, or longer odds.

Tampa and Cincinnati at 40-1.

Cleveland at 45-1.

Oakland at 50-1.

Detroit at 75-1.

St Louis at 85-1.

FWIW, Denver is a 38-1 shot, and San Diego is 8-1.

Over under on regular season wins is 6.

Must lay my yearly bet on the Raiders taking the show. :thumb:
