Kickoff at 7:00. NWMSU, with Blake Bolles taking the helm as the starting QB, travels to ACU for a huge D2 game. Northwest is 2nd in the pre-season polls, while ACU is ranked 6th. ACU lost a few great players, including Bernard Scott and Johnny Knox, to the NFL. Northwest is breaking in some new O-line starters but should be stocked everywhere else.

Bright spots from the first half: The Bearcat looks very good already. They limited the potent ACU offense to just one TD in the first half. ACU is a very good team that has a good chance to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Dull spots: the new Offensive line is not run blocking, not pass protecting, and more importantly has committed four or five devastating penalties.

The defense is insane; they limited ACU's explosive offense to just ten points. When the offense matures a little bit they will be essentially unbeatable.
