Thunder doesn't help but if we get enough lighting maybe we can just forfeit every game.

The Chiefs o-linemen couldn't even double team Mebane (sp?) how do you think they'll run the ball?

Suck my balls, Mecca.

Chris Johnson has 54 yards on 22 carries this preseason.

If LJ had that statline you'd be screaming it from the top of Arrowhead Stadium.

Mecca

I don't worry about preseason when that player hasn't shown decline in actual games.

Tell me which teams the LJ/Charles combo is better than what they have.

Whatever. LJ and Charles looked fantastic last night against a good front seven. You are unwilling to give credit where it's due to further your agenda that a) the Chiefs suck and b) Larry Johnson is washed up.

I don't recall that convo...I had it with another person when we were discussing where Larry Johnson ranked amongst the leagues RB's.

You do have Chiefs blinders on when it comes to LJ...you live in Texas and the Cowboys have 3 backs better than him.

Well they ran the ball pretty good ... just as GoChiefs already said.

Seattle's front 7 is solid, their especially strong at LB but their line is weak outside of Kerney who is getting old.

The Seahawks have outstanding linebackers and a good, stout defensive line. I didn't see anyone ELSE running on them this preseason.

Give credit where it's due.

I think the running game was just "okay".

You make it sound like they lit up the Seahawks with 200 yard rushing in the first half.

In reality, they didn't get close to that. 90 yards in one half. And no points.

And let's keep in mind that we're going to see this quite a bit this upcoming season.

Teams will allow the Chiefs to run somewhat and dare them to throw the ball. And when the Chiefs can't throw the ball, the opposing front seven will stiffen up against the run considerably.

In actual games running is going to be really hard for the Chiefs because no one is going to respect the receivers outside of Bowe.

Who do the Titans run out at receiver, again?

Fred Biletnikoff, Randy Moss and Jerry Rice?

I think it's hilarious that you are using his preseason stats.

Apparently the Colts are the worst team in history since they never win preseason games.

If you think either of the Chiefs backs is remotely as good as Chris Johnson that is extreme homer.

I told you he would get injured....

And I give credit to players who deserve it, Flowers and Bowe are good players who would start on good teams. There may be another guy or 2 in there, at this point Larry Johnson is about the 40th best back in the NFL.

It's not going to be good, especially considering the front sevens that the Chiefs will face in the first 8 games.

And the fact that ScIntosh can't seal off the outside right and Goff has fallen off a cliff.

I sure as hell hope not because the Chiefs might not score a rushing touchdown in the first half of the season with FcIntosh & Goff.

As I mentioned in a related thread, it appeared that Allemen and NDukwe played much better but I need to review the game before making a statement.

Actually we tend to AGREE on line play. But he SHOULD give some credit to the o-line for opening holes last night.

That was the best we've run the ball in a preseason game in years. Our running game SUCKED last preseason and it was a harbinger of things to come.

he tried to make the same argument with the rams. "its only preseason, when the regular season comes, theyre REALLY gonna bulldoze people, and the chiefs line will be all out of gas and suck worse than they already have"

Two words:

Ashley Lelei.

The dude is going to be huge for us this year in terms of helping opening up the field. He'll take a while to get the playbook down, but he's looked really good so far in the preseason operating with only a couple of weeks of familiarity with the system and players.
