Now that the preseason is over and we've had a chance to view the "progress" that the team has made, how many regular season games will we win?

5 mark it down.

We'll probably finish 4-12, Cassel will disappoint everyone and Larry Johnson will be released. On the bright side, Jamaal Charles should rush for 1,119 yards, give or take a yard. I think he could average slightly less than 6 yards per carry. But Bowe will be suspended - he's due. And Albert is going to regress. At some point Haley will go for it from his own 28. Gonna be a long year.

5-11, they close strong with a nice winning streak the second half, to get the 5.

If that player's name is Bowe, we are going to have a hell of a time moving the football.

As it is, every team we play will be stupid not to double team Bowe and force someone, anyone, else to make a play.

If any of those teams happen to have a CB that can handle him 1-1 the Chiefs offense is going to look putrid.

Staying with 9. Starters looked pretty good again IMO. Croyle moved the team fairly well, but the difference betweeen Croyle and hopefully what Cassel will be is there were 3 or 4 TD throws there that Croyle could not connect on. If Cassel is in the company of the greats around the league, we hit a few of those and would have been fine tonight.

I am still sticking to 4-6 wins. I know it is only pre-season but if you look at each of the games they were in all of them until the very end. I think this team will be competitive but I don't know if it will translate into W's.

That is a great example..Denver too..

Both those teams have 1 player that can take away Bowe leaving them to stack the box and force the Chiefs really crappy offensive players to beat them..

How is your run defense looking? As long as you can stop the Raiders from running all over you the Raiders should be pretty easy to beat.

I could see the Chiefs beating the Raiders and the Broncos. We beat them both last year one time each and we are IMO better defensively and depending on how Haley does as OC could be better offensively even minus Tony.

Do you realize that in 2001, the Chiefs were 6-10?

6-10.

On the offensive side of the ball, they had John Tait, Brian Waters, Casey Weigmann, Will Shields, Tony Gonzalez, Tony Richardson, Trent Green, Derrick Alexander and Priest Holmes.

Priest Holmes, IIRC, led the league in yards from scrimmage.

6-10.

They also had a kick returner by the name of Dante Hall and offensive geniuses like Al Saunders and Dick Vermeil.

6-10.

I'd really like to hear how the Chiefs could win 9 games with the worst offensive line in the league, a 30 year-old washed up running back and one reliable WR.

Just a feeling man, just a feeling. I see pretty good things other than the right side of the O-line, and I have faith in the coaching staff this year to shore it up enough to get by.

3-4 wins. KC could find some OL help by Saturday afternoon. Alex Boone has been looking good for the 49ers at RT. They may try to sneak him onto the practice squad. If so, KC should pounce on him.

I voted 4 in the last one. Even after last night's performance, I still think that 4 is fair. Although this morning I was cursing and saying 2. I guess I'm just trying to stay optimistic that our O-line will eventually get their shit together and we can get some protection for the QB.

I originally had 4.....but I'm thinking more along the lines of 2. Maybe it will get better when Cassel comes back....but it doesn't matter because the right side of the line is just going to get him killed again.
