The air? A hole in the line would be more effective.

For the life of me, I don't understand how the wasteofflesh made it past his first season with the Chiefs.

He is bad, but unfortunately it doesn't look like anybody is better.

I still think he gets cut though.

That may be true. At lease the QB wouldn't be under the illusion that his blind side is protected and we could get an extra WR on the field.

We are so thin at the right side he won't get cut. But I'd rather have nobody there than McIntosh.

he can just be a backup for nobody.

McIntosh was godawful when he was with the Dolphins. He was a "key member" of one of the absolute worst offensive lines I've ever seen in the NFL.

To be honest, when I learned a week ro so ago that some guy named McIntosh was on the Chiefs, my first thought was "no, can't be the same guy -- that guy can't possibly still be in the NFL".

Here's hoping that the Chiefs find someone better. You wouldn't think it'd be that hard, to be honest...

He and Richardson and Ndukwe are like a trilogy of terror. They can all get run over by 2nd and 3rd teamers. So cut whoever you want, man, just don't expect anything to change.

Does Willie Roaf have any brothers?
Or Sisters?

BTW: I never thought I'd be nostalgic for Jordan Black....

I know they are down on Herb Taylor, but I don't remember him looking quite as bad as these 3.

Some one cut a blocking TE.

DaFace

Cut? Highly unlikely. I'd be OK with him losing his starting job, though. Unfortunately, they haven't stuck anyone over there all season who's looked like they belong in the NFL.

bjake2

I know it is highly unlikely he gets cut, I'm just tired of watching him miss every block possible.

The fact McIntosh is the best option at RT is condemnation of the talent level at that position.

There has to a bouncer or other big body out there that they could sign off the street that could block better...

ChiefaRoo

He should be cut not just because he's bad but he has a loser attitude that is bad for the locker room.

There HAS to be somebody on the chopping block that's at least an average player at the RT position. Even if they're his equal, the POS doesn't deserve a roster spot and his overpaid ass needs to be in the unemployment line. After focusing my attention on him a number of plays last night, you'de think the shit was a deliberate attempt to get cut. I'de rather have Jordan Black than this piece of crap, and i despised Black during his tenure here.

The worst part of it is, he actually has talent, he's just lazy, with a bad attitude.

Without rewatching the game yet, the rushing game was pretty good last night. I don't know if that was in spite of McIntosh or not? If he did a decent job in the running game, maybe a TE could chip on the d-lineman a bit to help him out before releasing on a pass route?

should the chiefs make an offer to jon runyan

MacIntosh is a guy who was once Honorable Mention All Big 12 DT in 97. He moved over to offense because KSU had nobody else and I believe he was 2nd Team All Big 12 at that position also. I remember that he had two pass deflections that killed drives after aTm had driven deep in KSU territory in the Big 12 CCG in 98.

Obviously the guy hasn't got what it takes to be successful as OL. I wonder if they could use him as an immoveable sacrificial lamb NT?

Just as an FYI, the Patriots have made the first cuts, and an offensive lineman that Pioli knows was among them:

Patriots announce the release of Andrew Walter, Billy Yates, Roderick Rogers, Steve Williams, Vinny Ciurciu and Robert Ortiz

http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2009/09/cuts_continue.html

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Yates is the o-lineman I'm talking about. Ciurciu is a special teams guy that might interest Pioli, as well.

Wow. Rep to the OP for calling for something I didn't think had a chance in hell of happening.

I was calling this cut on Wednesday.

So, if he got owned so badly, why did he work with the first team at RT the week after the Viking game in practice?

Yes he played LT in the Seattle game, but worked through the week at RT.

I can only speculate, and I could easily be wrong, but my guess is that they are giving the veteran, McIntosh every opportunity to keep his roster spot before cutting him.
