Are you so sure of that? Orton and Simms are still hurt. Neither have looked all that impressive. Brandy is a rookie from the 6th round, although he has really impressed me for where he is in his career.

I don't think it will happen. McDaniels spent all offseason trying to teach our QB's the new system. I don't think we would bring Garcia in as a backup, and if we did sign him it would take a very long time for him to learn the system.
I actually am comfortable with Brandstater starting week 1. If Brandstater gets hurt I am sure that Orton and Simms could play.

I wouldn't be surprised if KC gave him a sniff. Don't really think hit fit in their offensive scheme though.

They are going to have to certify the Crypt Keeper a la Bidwell senior in Arizona. At one time, he had a pretty keen football mind, but the guy has gone over the proverbial edge. I also hear that Pat Bowlen is suffering from some type of dementia, which has led to a lot of the problems that the Broncos have endured in this off-season.

Not really. It's just a spread offense. The rookie is doing all right with it after just a few quarters of play. And I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that Garcia has a shitload more football smarts than Kyle Orton or Chris Simms.
I actually am comfortable with Brandstater starting week 1. If Brandstater gets hurt I am sure that Orton and Simms could play.Last I heard we have one healthy QB on the roster. Orton might be farther along than I'm aware of, I don't know. I do know that Garcia is better than Simms, and should have a good chance of beating Orton. Brandstater looked pretty good, but he's still a rookie.

I wouldn't have minded bringing in Garcia back in April. I think it is a little to late to try and get a new QB IMO.

I don't think either of them are dumb. Orton's biggest strength is his football smarts. He called a lot of audibles when he was in Purdue and Chicago, he has checked out of a bunch of plays so far in the preseason.
Garcia has played in west coast offenses his entire career, that isn't what McDaniels runs.

His strength is his decision making, the guy makes good reads and he has the physical ability to make the plays. Take a good long look at Simms running our offense.

As a Chiefs fan I would be more worried about the Donks if they had Garcia 10X more than I am with Aborton at their helm.

At this point, I'd like to be a fly on the wall of Raider FO meetings. I'm imagining the relentless pursuit of logic by a team of coaches, consistently interrupted by skeletor and his man-crush on JaFatBoy (who in all honesty, has looked better this preseason).
Letting Garcia go was stupid, but with 19 other teams having let him go before, you have to also start wondering why he's always released??? Maybe he's a meat-gazer in the showers and lockerroom, and the players want him gone....
