Who picked up Pollard? Hog Farmer said he wouldn't be out of work for long, so I am assuming he signed with someone already. Right? :D

Don't teams usually wait until after week 1 to sign vets so their contracts aren't guarunteed?

It would be a weird twist if he ended up in New England.

He'll be picked up by NE, Philly,Steelers or Ravens. You know, teams that recognize talent.

No one would even give a 7th for Pollard.

KANSAS CITY
Bernard Pollard (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/7803) out. Chiefs GM Scott Pioli thought he might get a seventh-round pick for him, but no one stepped up. The waiver-wire pickup of tackle Ryan O'Callaghan continues to show how dissatisfied Kansas City is with its incumbents on the offensive line.

Pioli's mistake was not calling Detroit before they did the deal with Buffalo. Gunn liked him.

How sad. Even though he has struggled at times, I'm glad Morgan made the team over Pollard. He's got the skill set and is still raw with that good wholesome upside.

I wonder if Pioli called Green Bay and offered him for Tony Moll. I would think Pollard is an upgrade over the special teams safety (Derrick Martin) they got from the Ravens in the deal. And Moll would have been a really nice pickup for us.

Well when a team is asking for a 7th rounder when they drafted them in the 2nd round a few years ago, probably know they're gonna end up releasing them anyways.

Exactly, This. But nobody has picked him up since his release which could back the decision up.

Surely he is at least on someone's practice squad right? Right? :D

Isn't his tenure in the nfl too long to go to a practice squad ?
