With the season opener just days away, I was wondering how the opinion of ChiefsPlanet has changed. Many are upset with the 53-man roster which is swing from the love fest after the Haley/Pioli hires.

Other polls have been conducted throughout the offseason before we saw what kind of team would be fielded. Prior to this point many thought the Chiefs would have 6 wins. Does this hold true now?

There are more polls but a search has not turned up any. If you know of a link, please post it and I will put it in the OP.

I say 5

Would have been 8 until we dumped Pollard.

So much of it depends on O'callaghan that it's not fair. But it's still reality, if O'callaghan can be a solid right tackle then it opens up the passing game which keeps the defense off the field.

O'callaghan is good = 6 - 8 wins
O'callaghan is weak = 4 wins (maybe)

Easy 6

I'm going with 9. They start 2-5, move to 4-7, then run the table.

I'll say 6 still. Based on the last half of our schedule.

6-10 sounds about right.

At least there will be improvement.

Hopefully next year they go 9-7.

I was downtrodden after the final preseason game, but I'm now thinking that we'll win 11.

The 53 man is strong.

:spock::spock: What the hell kind of difference would Pollard make? How would missing tackles help us win 3 extra games?

I've been back and forth since our opponents for the year were announced. I said 3 wins then and I will stick with it now.

4-12/6-10 would be considered the biggest turn around in NFL history, considering who was coaching last year...

This is a stunningly bad team. We'll be extremely lucky to win two games.

I just die laughing at the moronic die hards who actually believe we can win more than 5.. come ON.

Honestly, the town had a villain: Carl Peterson.

Carl proved a long, long time ago that he didn't know how to create a championship football team. But because the Chiefs were in the "tournament" each year, there was false hope.

After nearly two decades of failure, the fact that Carl is gone makes the fans feel like the wait is over. It's as if Carl was some mystical dark cloud that held the Chiefs from winning just by his mere existence.

The Chiefs unfortunately have a long, long way to go. I just hope the fans are patient.

Once again.

Ugh... I posted this in response to someone else who was calling this franchise "in complete shambles for the first time in my life".

Jesus Christ. I'm so sick of the drama queens around here. ...

But my god.

We now have an owner that's shown he's going to be agressive in his efforts to build a championship level team again.
He landed the top GM candidate over the last 5 years.
He landed his top young head coach.
We have young talent at WR, RB, QB, LT, DE, CB(x2).
We have more depth at QB than we've had in decades.
We have the makings of a pretty decent defense when no one thought we had a shot at such.
We are all but certain to win more games this year than last year.
Most people here seem to agree that we are a RT and #2WR away from being able to make some noise.

And it seems like everyone thinks we are a franchise "in complete shambles".

Get real.

Once again.Unfortuneately, Carl and Herm destroyed the team completely before leaving. They took the best offense in the league and made it the worst. They took a bad defense and made in worse. Then they left the mess for someone else to clean up.

Get real. The QBs are not that great and the OL needs more than a RT.
