Ravens praise Hali

Tamba Hali hasn’t said much the last two months, since he was moved to linebacker to accommodate the move to the 3-4. But others have begun to notice how well Hali has made the transition.

“As good a player as you’re going to see,” Harbaugh said. “He just goes and goes and goes so hard, and he’s so talented.”

If anyone even suggested that there may be a slight chance hali would be ok they would have gotten crucified here.

I think that it would be a good coaching job to get alot out of hali without getting hurt my his shortcomings.

How about the correlation between top-fermenting yeast and ale & bottom-fermenting yeast and lager possibly being a false dichotomy? Or perhaps he could pontificate on whether the fish is better or the chicken planks at Long John Silvers'?

Dear Mecca,

I kind of have this problem that I don't like to talk about publicly too much. But I have the freak ability to transform into kind of a wolfman. It's just kind of a hereditary thing. Well, here's the problem, I used the werewolf thing to boost my popularity at school, and I also used it to improve my basketball skills. Somehow transforming into a hairy beast allows me to hit a jump shot. But see, the big game is coming up this weekend, and coach is really pressuring me to turn into the wolf so we can win the game. But I don't want to, I want to win fair and square.

Is it okay to stand up to my coach? It's not like it's going to come down to a final free throw or something, where the officials would completely ignore every rulebook in the history of basketball and allow my biggest rival to stand underneath the basket while I attempt the free throw. So I say no wolf. Please advise.

No shit.

When's the last time a coach came out in a weekly conference call and said "Player X" is a real fucking POS. We plan on exploiting him for the scrub he is every chance we get. Fucker shouldn't even be in the league, and we're gonna show why on Sunday."

I'm sure Sean Payton had some nice things to say about the Detroit Lions this week as well.

I've always thought it would make these NFL pressers more interesting if the coach was legally required to say one bad thing about the other team every time he says something good.

"Yeah, Tamba Hali is real playmaking force. We're going to have to contend with him."

"On the other hand, the right side of that offensive line puts up less resistance than a corpse."
