View Full Version : Football FFL Champs or Your Team?

Not sure if any of you caught this (I think it was just local S.Cal ESPN radio this afternoon), but Andrew Siciliano and Mychal Thompson were doing a segment that I found really interesting.

If you could win your FFL championship or have your favorite team win the Super Bowl, which would you choose, assuming the prize for your FFL Title is $1,000?

If you chose your team, what dollar amount prize would have to be there for you to take the money? Siciliano said he would rather have the Browns win the Super Bowl than have $100,000.

I would take a Chiefs Super Bowl win over $1,000. I'd probably set my price at $5,000. How about you?

I'd take a Chiefs superbowl over $1,000. I might take it over $5,000, but that would be really tough.

Anyway I can split it in half to just have $500 and one playoff victory?

I've already won $1000 playing FF so no thanks, now if I could win my Fanball Challenge that pays $20,000 to the winner,it'd be a different story.

the feeling of your team winning is far greater than a 1000 dollars that you will blow on shit you don't need anyway

I'd probably require 7500 dollars. Tax free.

Man I thought you guys were loyal to your team.

Super Bowl. Although an extra $1000 would be nice...

I don't believe that 50,000 dollars is your price.

I'll sell "shares" of my options for $50, and I'll make way, way more than $1k while getting to watch the Chiefs in the SB.

Win-Win.

Easy question. I've won a few FF championships but I haven't seen a Chiefs SB win since I was 11. Gimme the Chiefs.

SB, but much more money and I would have to consider it.

All of us have a price. Especially those of us with debt, unemployment, underemployment, families, etc. Because it's hypothetical I think we would tend to overestimate our price. But I can honestly say that I'd pass on anything up to $5,000 to see the Chiefs win a Super Bowl. And for a guy making what I make in the situation that I'm in, that's a sacrifice.

I don't believe that 50,000 dollars is your price.

As weird as it sounds, a Chargers Super Bowl win is the one thing I want more than anything in this world.

Over a years salary would be nice, but I would definitely trade it in to get that feeling.

How many people would pay me $100 to guarantee a Chiefs Superbowl appearance?

I'd give up $1k but for 10k you're waiting another year.

Super Bowl.

My price, $50,000.

That's about my price.

What happens if they give you $1K and the Chiefs don't make it?

I'll claim Nigerian citizenship and be under the direct protection of Miss Cleo.

$50K??

I'm taking the money every fucking time. Do you know how many hookers and how much blow I could get with that kinda cash??

Speaking from a tax free assumption, it would start getting serious at the 10k mark.

I've won a few FFL championships already, so I already know the feeling.

I want to know what it's like for the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl- that is a feeling you cannot put a price on.

I will definitely take the Chiefs Super Bowl win. I don't want to be one of those fans that lives their entire life and never experiences it. When the Royals won the World Series I was in 2nd grade, and in all honesty, as a second grader I can't say that I really appreciated it. (Throw in Monica Bellucci on the money offer, say $50,000, and it's a deal though.)

The CHIEFS! Not even close. C'mon, Anybody that chooses different isn't a true fan.

Besides I've won 5 FF championships in 18 years so I know what that's like, fun yea, but I can't imagine the feeling I would have if the Chiefs won it all. Not even comparable though I would think.
