Going into the Raven's house with a sub-par O-line and a back-up QB on opening day, I had no illusions of the Chiefs coming away with a W. But, I did see what I was hoping for--a disciplined, scrappy team that fought and clawed and stayed in the game right up to the last minute. No turnovers, and only two penalties. This is the kind of game the Chiefs can build on. Suddenly, the AFC West isn't a lock for the Chargers anymore.:thumb:

The AFC West is still a lock for the Chargers.

No illusions, but certainly one delusion.

No illusions, but I have seen enough to say Pioli and Haley were the right men for the Chiefs. I think this is a team and type of play that KC fans can get behind.

Let's not start fellating each-other just yet. I haven't seen enough to have an opinion one way or the other.

I will say that in ONE game, the Chiefs looked more under contorl than they did through 3 years under Herm fucking Edwards.

Just your opnion...

I saw more in this game than in any of the last 48 games under Herm...

Plenty to be positive about.

Pretty much my opinion as well. A lot of Chief fans wanted Bill Cowher as HC because he had this same heated emotion for the game and never backed down from voicing his emotions on the sideline. It's yet to be proven, but we have the offensive minded version of Bill Cowher.

I agree. The difference is I think we will improve rather then get worse. Big F'ing difference.

The offense killed the defense in the 1st half by getting a mere 3 1st downs.

Was this game a step in the right direction? Of course! (a small step)
Was this game in anyway impressive? No. Both sides of the ball were horrendous.
