In 4 years KC will target this cat in the 2nd or 3rd round. Why at this area of the draft. Well several evaluators will be wary of his size/height 6'1" and currently at 188 lbs. With all that said the guy is cool in the pocket reads defenses fluidly, and is a mobile player who can make stuff happen when it's needed.

He's way too small.

When are people going to get the memo about undersized spread QBs?

He's way too small.

Well he's 18 years old, and hasn't had a proper weight training regiment yet

Like Drew Brees?

Like Drew Brees?

I think he means the other 98% of them, the crowd that includes Chase Daniels, Colt Brennan, Graham Harrell, Tyler Thigpen.... Tate Forcier, ya know?

Haley and Pioli are not spread offense QB kinda guys, we understand that he had a great game against an amazing Notre Dame team this century, but don't get your hopes up.

Yes, because the exception disproves the rule.

A guy has a good game against Notre Lame's pathetic joke of a defense and suddenly he is the Chiefs QBOTF?

Why waste a pick on a quarterback? Cassel will only be about 31, and Croyle will be completely healed, and Thigpen will be like a coach with the clipboard. We'll have plenty of depth at quarterback in four years.

If we're gonna talk about QB's in 3 or 4 years...atleast Matt Barkley has an NFL future.

Yes, because the exception disproves the rule.

Any college QB making the NFL is the exception.

I like Gabbert's chances.

I like Gabbert's chances.

He'll likely get drafted, but I'm going to favor guys who come out of pro style systems.

Pryor has a much better chance at succeeding than Forcier, and Pryor isn't even that good.

I do think too much is being made of spread QBs. I think there are certain systems where it wouldn't be overly hard to train a QB to play well in a pro offense, if you actually take the time to do it. I'm still surprised Harell isn't with a team. I think he's a much more talented QB than a lot of the backups in the league.

He has marginal arm strength and terrible footwork. He's never had to read a defense and he's used to throwing 10 yards passes to guys who are open by 3 feet.
