Just filed to ESPN - Early this am, San Francisco and its first-round pick Michael Crabtree reached agreement on a new contract.

Crabtree's contract is a six-year deal that could void into a five-year deal based on Crabtree's performance.

But deal is done and Crabtree's holdout is over. He is expected to report to the team's training facility today.

His contract apparently says if he has 2 great years in the first 4 he voids his 5th year if he doesn't they get him for only 4 million dollars for that 5th year.

After the Jets acquired Edwards, he had to!

What an idiot. All he did was set his development back an entire season.

Apparently M.C. Hammer was somehow involved in Trabtree's contract negotiation.

It's good to be a 49er fan.

3-1 and getting a boost to the offense in time for the playoff push?

Really emerging defense.

Good coach.

LOL Any coincidence this deal gets done at the same time the Jets trade for Edwards? Aren't the Jets the team SF filed tampering charges against?

Good thing he's in before the start of the 2nd quarter of the season. I was really going to laugh hard if he went back into the draft.

Over.

Hell, he will probably have more yards receiving come sundown on Sunday night than our leading receiver for the year. Right now that is Bradley with 120.

Most likely it will take Crabtree 2 weeks to overtake Bradley, but given the way things have shook out for us this season, he will probably do it Sunday.

My brother's been a 9ers fan since the Montana days, so I've always considered them to be one of my secondary teams. This year, I may end up rooting for them more than the Chiefs. :sulk:

Let's not forget the great KC connection that San Fran has. Greg Manusky as DC and Jimmy no longer in disa-Raye as OC.

I NEVER thought i'd find myself rooting for Frisco, but Singletary has changed that.

He has that team wrapped around his little finger & its easy to understand why.

He's Old School to the bone & soul.
