Brady Quinn's house is for sale
Posted by Mike Florio on October 13, 2009 8:52 PM ET
With Browns quarterback Derek Anderson strengthening his grip on the starting job after completing two passes on Sunday (cue the "it was windy, Florio!" crowd and the "they dropped eight or nine of them!" chorus), backup Brady Quinn has been the subject of renewed trade rumors.

The experts claim that Quinn won't be traded.

Just like they claimed earlier this year that Braylon Edwards wouldn't be traded.

But Quinn's house is now for sale, according to WaitingForNextYear.com.

And the report seems to be accurate. The home at 32388 Regency Court in Avon Lake, Ohio is for sale, and Quinn bought a home at that same address in 2007.

So we'll wait for the experts to claim that the move has no relation to a possible trade.

Just like they did when Jay Cutler put his Denver-area house on the market . . . not long before he was traded.

Possible candidates, based on our review of the depth charts for the other 31 teams, are the Bills, Texans, Jaguars, Raiders, Redskins, Panthers, Rams, 49ers, and Seahawks.

Mort just twittered that he's moving into a barn outside of Oakland, so he can practice hitting its broad side with a football in his spare time.

LJ would be a good fit in the Cleve. He and LeBron could go out and wish they were in NY together.

REP!

I would trade LJ for Quinn everyday of the week and twice on Sunday... but the NFL would probably investigate a trade like that... One team getting value, while the Chiefs would be breaking it off in Cleveland... LOL

Yes, the Chiefs are getting Quinn.

Get real. I wouldn't want that clown on this team anyways.

Raiders and Bills would seem like the most logical options.

Oakland runs a west coast offense?

Buffalo, I can see that.

Why would he need a west coast offense?

Look at what they gave up to get 1 spot ahead of us and take him. Buh bye!

The dude can be a hell of a QB. He just needs a chance to prove himself.

I question his arm strength.

Another place I can see Quinn going is in Washington.

His arm isn't bad, he doesn't have a noodle or anything like that.

Quinn, if nothing else, has enough arm & athleticism to make Al drool, system wouldnt matter.

But no player in their right mind wants to go there, i can see Richard Seymour right now...

It's not bad, but it's not exactly the strongest arm either. I just think the WCO would benefit him more, like Leinart, who needs a WCO as well.

Perhaps for a modeling agency. Not for an NFL team.

Nobody is going to trade for Quinn. In fact, nobody would claim him if he got cut...

It is an arm muscular and strong in the weight room. As far as throwing a football, Quinn has a really really weak arm.

Yeah he's as good as Sanchez!

If the Chiefs signed him, they'd have a Brady and a Brodie.

Actually, what would be even better is if the Patriots signed him, and then dragged Quinn Gray away from the USFL. Then they'd have Tom Brady, Brady Quinn, and Quinn Gray.

Does this mean that the Chiefs aren't the only ones that manage to **** up a draft?

if the raiders dont make a move for him and stay with russel they will be laughed at by the rest of the league, but they're use to that by now

Raiders, Titans, Redskins, Panthers, Bucs, Rams, 49ers ... these are the 7 teams that jump out to me that have questionable QB situations due to age or general ineffectiveness.

Seahawks, Vikings aretwo that could be contenders for a QBoTF in 2010. Hasselbeck and Favre are locked in for now, but next year?

The Browns should have nice interest from 3-4 of these teams if they're looking for a potential starter now or within the year.

I HOPE YOU ARE KIDDING!

Cassel is a far better QB than Quinn will ever be. I've said all along BQ is not going to be any good. I'm still standing by it.

Do you think Hulk Hogan has a "strong arm" in the football QB sense???

I'll even agree with that. He had a limited time with a pretty poor supporting cast.

I still think he has a weak arm and hence can only be a limited dink and dunk type of QB who wasn't worth a Second Round pick...

You have to understand his contract. He isn't just minimum wage when he gets claimed - the team that claims him takes over his contract. I haven't seen his contract, but most Firsts have three years at a low salary and then the salary explodes. Brady apparently will lose a lot of cash if he doesn't start a lot of games this year. If his salary is lower than I think it is, he might get claimed, but traded for... no way.
