That big ex lineman on ESPN is predicting that we will be the first winless team to get a victory, and it will be this weekend against "The OTHER Injun team..."

Kansas City will win the Politically Incorrect Bowl..

We'll lead much of the time... give up a big play... snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again... go to 0-6 on our way to 0-16... and get screwed out of the #1 pick because St. Louis will also be 0-16 but statistically worse.

But I still think the future could be bright.

I picked them to win in the pool. I put a whopping 2 points on them. The only reason I didn't put 1 on them is because I'm sick of getting fucked up by Denver winning, so I only put 1 on San Diego.

Just think of all the hate mail about Zorn that will be flying around if we do win this one!!!

Not only will the Chiefs win, but Zorn will get canned by Monday afternoon.

This will be the last stand if they don't. They showed some balls against Dallas but if the Skins handle them they'll probably lose out.

The Chiefs CAN win this game, which is more than I thought about the previous four games.

I don't think much of Zorn so I think Haley outcoaches him.

I don't think much of Blache, so we're even there.

Samuels is out, so we might be able to pressure Jason Campbell, who stinks BTW.

It's our best chance for victory until at Oakland.

yeah, I think about it all the time. Are you fucking serious?

If a man on here had posted that thread, I would have responded the same fucking way. Man, SR, sometimes you can be such a douche nozzle.

Yes, you know why?
Because I’ve been holding on to Clinton Portis, Santana Moss and Jason Campbell on my fantasy team specifically for the day they play the “career day defense” thereby guaranteeing that they will all get shut down.

We almost beat the Cowboys without a real home field advantage, so I think this is definitely winnable.

I wanted to say "yes" but I just had to listen to my common sense.

The 2009 Chiefs are the NFL's job-saver.

Phillips - done
Zorn - coming up
Cable - down the road

Jauron, Turner, Mangini, Del Rio ???

Wouldnt shock me one bit if we got a win Vs. the Chargers or Donkeys this year.

Division games are always hard to predict no matter what the record of the teams are.

I think we win this week. One of those cyclical things where we have a repeat performance of Vermeil's first year in KC. (And no, I haven't figured out yet how it happens without Priest Holmes taking the whole team on his back.)

6-31 over the last 2+ seasons...

Pretty surprising, given our recent history, that 65% of the board thinks this team can win ANY road game. Could it happen? Sure. But I certainly wouldn't expect it.

There is no way with the schedule that we have that we are going 0-16. We have some of the worst teams in the league coming up with the toughest part of our schedule now behind us.

Mecca
10-15-2009, 07:39 PM
Being a road game is the main reason I won't pick them to win but Washington's defense is pretty good which is why I said boring game.

I'm expecting some awesome score like 17-14.

We will see which team is better at giving away the game. The chiefs are Pro's at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory so we will see

I guess we'll find out if Zorn's best coaching technique is, "hey guys, feel bad for me, I might lose my job."

WAS (2-3) – W: RAMS, BUCS L: GIANTS, LIONS, PANTHERS
KC (0-5) – W: zero L: RAVENS, RAIDERS, EAGLES, GIANTS, COWBOYS

WAS Score O – 15 ppg (27) vs KC Score D – 28 ppg (28)
WAS Rush O – 95 ypg (25) vs KC Rush D – 133 ypg (25)
WAS Pass O – 205 ypg (23) vs KC Pass D – 270 ypg (29)

KC Score O – 17 ppg (25) vs WAS Score D – 16 ppg (6)
KC Rush O – 96 ypg (24) vs WAS Rush D – 120 ypg (22)
KC Pass O – 162 ypg (29) vs WAS Pass D – 171 ypg (3)

Turnover Ratio:
WAS (-2)
KC (+2)
Adv: KC

Homefield Advantage: WAS

While the Redskins rank high in Scoring Defense (6th) and Pass Defense (3rd), they've achieved those standings against a relatively easy schedule; two wins were against the Rams and the Bucs, but they lost to the Giants, Lions, and Panthers. Campbell has thrown 6 TDs but 5 picks. Portis is averaging 3.7 ypc. Santana Moss and Chris Cooley are definitely receiving threats.

Chiefs gotta find a pass rush, or Campbell will actually look like a good QB, and Moss and Cooley will have career days. IF the O-line has any self-respect left after watching Cassel pick himself up off the dirt after every pass play and seeing LJ getting stuffed behind the LOS, they might rise to the occasion. LJ may make a statement in his old hometown, get pissed off, and pound some yards out. I know that’s a whole lot of “IFs”, so I'll add one more: IF the defense snags a pick 6, Chiefs get their first win, 23-17.

How do I know this? Because I will fucking be there.

Not sure if I should wear my Chiefs brown bag, or the Redskins brown bag over my head.
I might just wear a normal brown bag that says "My team sux". That way I can fit in with everyone at the stadium.
