<!-- end mod-article-title --> <!-- begin story body --> Washington Redskins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=was) left tackle Chris Samuels (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=2134) is denying the report he will retire.
"I will continue to seek medical advice," he said in a statement. "I hope to see where I am physically over the next couple months. At this time, I have not made a decision, but I love playing for the Redskins and hope to be back."
League sources told The Washington Post that the six-time Pro Bowler shared his decision with some members of the team after consulting a specialist in California.
Samuels suffers from stenosis, a narrowing of the spine that caused him to wear a neck brace for extra protection when he played, and was already dealing with significant knee pain all season, according to the paper.
