Family Prayers

As most of you know by the thread above we are preparing to have a cancer benefit dinner in a couple of weeks for my mother and uncle. Unfortunately, last night our grandfather was a passenger in a vehicle that pulled in front of oncoming traffic. He was believed to have been killed instantly. Any prayers for the family would be appreciated as we lay him to rest and work to make the upcoming benefit a success.

I will update the benefit thread shortly.

I appreciate it! The eery part of the situation was that I went to pick up my daughter that night and passed the accident on the highway. I looked over at the vehicles in the ditch and saw rescue crews trying to cut the side of the car open. I told my daughter that there was no way the passenger of the car survived.

About an hour later into my trip home my cell phone rang. Of course it was my sister telling me that it was my grandfather in the car that they were trying to extract.

You just never know when you pass a serious accident if it is someone you know or are related to. I hadn't spoken to him in some time and thought he would be at the upcoming benefit.

The family is staying strong and working well together at the moment so that is a plus. As with all families, our sometimes drifts apart at times.
