It seems that no matter what time I decide to peruse the Chiefs Planet site, there seems to be over a 150 people viewing the Lounge and numerous fringe people on the other forums, but yet, I continually look at the same twelve people posting all the time.

So, who are these fringe viewers?

Oh yeah, I'm a big time lurker...check out the join date. I just enjoy reading the thoughts shared here, and rarely find that I have anything to contribute that hasn't already been said.

Some people go to CNN, some go to FOX, I go to Chiefsplanet for my news...it's always here first.

And I don't have the two-hundred some posts my count indicates...some got added at some point. I'm pretty sure I still have less than 50 actual posts...pretty impressive for 9 years :D

Thats funny. That's how I stumbled across this site as well about 5 yrs. ago when I moved from KC to ND. For a longtime I was mostly just a lurked myself. Then I started posting from time to time and still continue to do so. Nothing as much of some of you on here. Probably a few times a week I'll post something...though I'm still here everday lurking around. This really is a good place to come check out sports news and even other oddball stories for that matter. Some of the responses in these threads are fricken priceless.

I'm not one of them, and I'm not sure anyone has given you more neg rep than I have. I'd much rather you come down off your LJ high horse and be a Chiefs fan first. I was one of LJ's biggest fans, but that whole theory got proven wrong. I've probably been lurking for a total of 6 weeks over the course of 2-3 years. I came on here this time to see if there was any word about Weis and Crennel. I decided to join and now I can't be stopped! I'm trying to set a record to 1000.

The one thing that has absolutely had me rolling all the times I've been here has been the whole, "THE DEAL IS DONE!" and "Write him up!" shtick. I mean, even in my sporadic visiting, Bill Cowher has shopped for houses in Olathe AT LEAST 15-20 times. ROFL

BTW, joining was one of the best things I ever did, cause I found...the pictures thread. "Guess Her Muff," has changed me for the better. :)

I lurk a lot... I so rarely have anything coming close to legitimate Chiefs opinions at this point in the year, what with not being able to watch them or hear their media coverage. This place is a great spot to get a feel for the team, however, and no matter what the True Fans say, the reason there's so much animosity towards the team is because fundamentally they lack a lot of the talent needed to compete in the NFL.

Best board on the web, frankly; I've got a passing interest in the Chiefs due to my roommate being a fan and me essentially tagging along to have something to talk to... but I find this place to be unendingly fascinating. And there are a wealth of off-topic things I can talk about.
