From what I've heard, Mark had been sick and didn't eat anything before the game. He asked someone on the sideline to get him one/or they offered to get him one not sure but it was someone on the sideline that was with the team. The reason he was apologizing was because of the whole disrespect thing. He didn't want anyone to think he was disrespecting the other team by doing a "We're winning by so much, I think I'll have a hotdog" thing, so he was trying to hide it. He also made a comment, "yeah I'm probably in trouble for that" so maybe he didn't want Rex to know?
