During a season in which Jeremiah Trotter, Junior Seau and Ahman Green each unexpectedly returned to football, cornerback Ty Law will now do the same.

Law and the Broncos have reached agreement on a contract that will add another former Patriot to Josh McDaniels' stable of them in Denver.

Law confirmed the developments when contacted Friday.

He is scheduled to fly to Denver on Friday to take a physical. Assuming he passes, Law will join the Broncos at a similar time to when he joined the New York Jets last season.

When the Jets signed him early in a week last year, Law suited up days later and participated in more than 50 plays covering Randy Moss.

He had wanted to return to football again and will now have the chance. Law, Brian Dawkins and Champ Bailey will give Denver arguably the most decorated defensive secondary in the league.

it may actually be smart of Denver for grabbing Law. Ty Law owns Peyton Manning and if denver can go far enough in the playoffs they will have to face the Colts.....

Hopefully Denver gets a rematch with the Pats in the 1st round and it'll all be over because the student isn't beating the teacher twice in one season.

They have to face the Colts in Indy during week 13, so there you go.

I agree. But he's old now. What's he like 35? He should play safety for the Broncos.

Interesting move... we'll see what happens, experience can't hurt but I can't imagine they expect a lot from him. Oh and Denver plays @ Indy in a few weeks.

Those two are young guys... they'll have their bumps, but surely you're not suggesting the Law signing is for him to play a significant role. I just don't see it.

Yes, when an ex-Patriot is NOT signed by Pioli, that tells you all you need to know about how bad the guy must really be. :D

Considering we've already experienced the hand me-down suck from Mr. Law already, I'll go ahead and credit General Piolio with having the testicles to restrain his signing pen.
