De La Hoya was at the end of his career. If the fight had taken place a few years earlier then it would have been a lot better. Hatton was in the same place Oscar was, an old fighter trying to collect a few more checks while he could. Judah is one of the most over rated fighters ever. He had two or three good fights (and even that's debatable) and then had nothing but garbage for the rest of his career.

The Corrales fight was a good one and he gets credit there and same with Baldomir.

The Marquez fight was the one that made me lose a lot of respect for Floyd. Mayweather hand selected him because he was a much smaller fighter and Floyd knew he could man handle him. I was so glad when Shane Mosley and B-Hop got in the ring and called him out. Hell, even Max Kellerman was busting his balls about it and Floyd just ducked the questions and tried to frame the Marquez fight as some great accomplishment.

IMO, Mayweather is a great fighter. His actions on the selection of his next few fights will determine if he is an all time great or just a great fighter.

Smaller ring size. The gloves of his choice. The venue. A smaller opponent.
He had EVERY advantage and PBF STILL put on a clinic.

Hatton had already logged two wins just that year (2007).
He stopped Jose Luis Castillo in just 4 rounds less than 6 months before his fight with PBF. Again, he was undefeated going into that bout.

The Marquez fight was the one that made me lose a lot of respect for Floyd. Mayweather hand selected him because he was a much smaller fighter and Floyd knew he could man handle him.
