I am tired of my unstable 1980s tree stand. I have to constantly readjust it and hope that it stays up the entire month. Where can I find a quality reliable stand in a store?

A few nails and you won't have to worry about a stand ever again.

On the plus side you get a power tool to play with.

Or just drill a hole in your floor with one of these:

the problem isn't as much the stand as it is the 4 little bolts that you tighten down against the tree shaft. They keep popping to the side on me because it is a crappy design. All it will take is one bump and it could fall right over.

head up to the Pineapple Tree Farm by Rees's on 24. Buy one of the wire ring stands. They are the best. We've used them for years in our family for trees of all sizes. They make many sizes.

They are a heavy steel ring with 4 spokes, a bucket for water, and heavy cord toggles to straighten the tree. No stupid thumbscrews.

Phobia will build it out of rare hardwoods and imported tile and it will end up costing $6,000.

Found a cheap plastic one that will get me through this year at least. More sturdy than what I had at least. 3 of the 4 places I stopped at didn't even carry tree stands for artificial trees. You had to buy a brand new artificial tree to get the stand. Bunch of bull crap if you ask me.

smartass. I don't want to run around to a bunch of stores hence my question.Had the same issue. Got tired of a wobbly tree and messing with putting it up straight. We got ours at Westlake. Got 6 screws with a tool to make turning them into the tree easy. Made of thick plastic. Its got a deep well to put the tree in and hold water.

You can pretty much walk right up to one with an axe, in broad day light.

Guys, this is a artificial tree not a real tree. I don't need those huge stands that hold water.

Wow. You have a stand from the '80s? Has it needed to be duct taped?

so you got suckered into buying the artificial tree to get a stand you have to modify to hold your real thing? gee, it seems it would be easier to just use the artificial one....
