You want to know what's funny, though? Last year, K-State's defense was what, 117th in defense?

They're 38th, right now. Looks like the defensive coaching staff did a bang-up job, despite not having much talent to work with.

Year-in and year-out the all-big12 teams are more of a "participation" award than anything. They get a lot of the selections for skill positions right (especially for 1st team), but other than that I think it's more of a "lets give this guy a reward before he graduates" type of mentality. So if you have a FR that is as good or even better than a JR or SR at the same position, they'll give it to the upper classman figuring that the FR's time will come. JMO

Amazing Texas only has 3 guys on first team, Mack Brown really must have earned that Big 12 coach of the year award this year.

I'm surprised as well.....having that said, KU's defense was horrible this season.
