Redskins picked off a pass from Brees, DB ran the ball back to the 45 but Meachum stripped the ball out and ran it back for a TD.

Pretty crazy.

So I have Brees and NO D. Correct me if my logic is off but:

Yahoo has scored it as an INT for Brees but no TD for my Saints D.

I'd argue that if it's an INT for Brees this means there has been a change in possession and therefore Meachem's TD should be scored for my D despite the fact that it isn't technically the Defense who scored.

Thoughts?

Well, if they credit an INT which implies change of possession, he is, by default, on D.

How much would a Redskins win really have affected the Chiefs? I mean, really? If it's the difference between the Chiefs picking 4th and 5th, who gives a shit? As a football fan, I'd rather see the best Super Bowl possible than the Chiefs having a slightly higher draft pick to waste.

It doesn't hurt the fucking future prospects of the Chiefs!!! The effect this game has on the Chiefs is, in the long run, negligible.

Okay, here, if you want everything to be connected to the Chiefs, here's how cheering for the Saints still makes me a true Chiefs fan: I don't want us to have too high a pick because it's harder to trade down and stockpile picks that could be used to fill the multitude of holes this team has. If our pick gets too high, nobody is going to want to give up multiple picks (see 2009 draft). The 5-8 range will be easier to trade out of.

Happy now?

TheGuardian
12-06-2009, 04:48 PM
I don't give two craps about draft position. I'd rather the Chiefs win. Pulling for the Skins to win so we can climb up in the draft is strange, to say the least. If a high draft slot had any amount of guaranteed success then teams like the Raiders and Lions wouldn't be in the cellar every single year. The Ravens have done some of the best first round drafting in the mid to late first part of the first round for a long time now. Having a top 5 pick doesn't mean jack or shit, and jack left town. I could care less about watching games and pulling for certain teams because of the draft. Stupid.

I don't give two craps about draft position. I'd rather the Chiefs win. Pulling for the Skins to win so we can climb up in the draft is strange, to say the least. Laz, are you actively rooting for the Chiefs to lose now... for the draft position?

LMAO "Artful turnaround"-rep.

well let's examine the situation

you have people saying having New Orleans win is more important than something positive happening for their own team because New Orleans is having a great season and because the Chiefs season sucks.

switching priority from one team to another because of how their season is going.

the VERY definition of Bandwagon jumping imo.

Let's examine your position. You want an undefeated team to lose because their doing so MIGHT help a hapless and hopeless Chiefs team in ways they will be more than able to help themselves (see sucking and losing more games) and those not seeing this wisdom are some how being disloyal bandwagoners????

Me thinks you sound like a shell shocked PTSD sufferer. Therefore losing seems logical.
