How many times did he pull himself out of the game due to "injuries?" Someone is saying that he did it 3 times, which is a lot for 20 carries. Not sure I believe it.

Are you seriously fucking bitching about the guy who was our only offensive weapon yesterday, and the only reason why that game was ever in doubt, at any point?

First of all, Charles is the only guy on this team who's making plays on offense.

Second, he's doing something he's not built to do, giving more than ought to be asked of him.

Third, you can't help it if you're injured. Take yourself out. What if he tried to play through it and seriously injured himself? These guys have been playing football forever, they know when they can play through pain and when they need to rest or get medical attention.

The only guy being productive... lay off him for a minute.

Charles is playing with a bum shoulder. He's shown a lot of heart. I admire him, a lot. My respect for him as a player is many times more than it was at the beginning of the year. He does fumble, but he'll work on that. He's one of the few guys from this year's team that I would call a keeper.

Yeah. Guy suffers a seperated shoulder last week and has the nerve to take himself out for a few plays the following week?

Cut him.

I'm not sure the OP was criticizing Charles, but if he is; piss on him!

Charles is a play maker but is he a true fulltime RB?

When I was a youngin' there was no such question as "is he a full-time back"?

Damn wussification.

I'm not at all sure what the topic is about here? Is it the grit and determination of a guy who doesn't give up or what? One who can't take the constant grind? RESULTS suggest one who rises above and finds a way to not only get the f-ing job done but with exceptionally gifted skills.

How's that?

I prefer to call him Chris Johnson Light.

Jamaal Charles 5'-11" 199lbs
Chris Johnson 5'-11" 200lbs.

Just saying.

I think a great compliment to Charles would be LenDale White...

But who am I...who am I...

Maybe the OP was simply asking a question.

...man, you guys are in hyper-ventilate mode these days...

WHOA WHOA WHOA. Back the lynch mob up a second.

I just ASKED the question. I'm not bitching about him at all. I love the guy.

No shit. This board needs a collective Tampax and dose of Midol.

What we need is a back that doesn't pull himself out - someone like Travis Henry.

Agreed.

I think ol' LenDale might be the next "Burner" Turner once he gets out of CJ's shadow...

But I would never overpay a running back like LenDale again...

You can find so many RB's on day 2 of the draft...

but if we could sign a guy like LenDale for Derrick Ward money...we'd be set at RB for the next few years if you ask me.

I mentioned that in a thread a couple of weeks ago and was thinking the same thing again yesterday, watching JC and then later watching the Titans and seeing them not use L. White. LenDale and JC would make a great 1-2 punch and give us some beef in the backfield. I'd love to see LenDale signed in the offseason.

I don't think he's of Turner's quality, but I'd be happy with him in a Chiefs uniform.

He had 27 touches when you include his seven receptions. That is a lot of work for a guy that doesn't weight 200 pounds.

I guess you guys are starting to see why I was bitchin so much about cutting our starting running back in mid season.

I told you ... now you have to live with it.

Props to me.

You mean that we are getting some production out of a running back now?

i don't care what the fuck you mean't ..... LJ was average 2 yard per carry running behind the same line that Charles is get 5+ behind.

LJ is a putrid pussbag

With a half-decent line and a big RB (L. White or perhaps even T. Gerhart?) to take a third of the carries every game, Charles could be a #1 overall fantasy pick type player. He wouldn't need many touches to get 100 yards and a score or two every week.
