Don't know how many of you have been inclined to see it, but KPTS has been showing their own production on the October 2, 1970 plane crash that killed 31 members of Wichita State's football team, including players, coaches and boosters.
Two planes were being used, the Gold plane, which carried the starters and the head coach, and the Black plane, which carried underclassmen and backups.
The Gold plane crashed into the mountains 8 miles west of Silver Plume, Colorado.
The show is a good retrospective. Hard for some of the old WSU folks to watch at times, myself included. It all happened when I was about 7 years old, but I remember running by the memorial and talking with guys that came to WSU to play football after the accident.
Anyway, if it comes on, it might appeal to some folks. Just my $.02.
