Things turn out best for those who make the best of the way things turn out.

Hope your brisket was a winner. Hope you were awake enough taking it off.

OUTSTANDING!

(Although I must confess I was adequately bundled, it was snowing pretty hard)

Brisket turned out great. We got 14" on snow today, so the sleep was limited to a one hour nap. Back at it with some Hot Mulled Cider w/ Maker's Mark. Delicious!

How many hours? What did you use for a smoker?

How many hours? What did you use for a smoker?

I have a Weber smokey mountian smoker and I used kingsford with mesquite and hickory.

I buy my brisket at Sams and it was about 6 pounds after trim. Took roughly 6 hours. I would have regulated the heat a little better and cooked it lower and slower but I was busy digging out all morning.

As with everything I've cooked on the WSM, it turned out FANTASTIC in spite of me! :thumb:
