View Full Version : Life Celebrating my 25th Anniversary today

Today I am proud to say I am celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary. I know there are many on here that have been married longer, and I salute you.

But I want to go on record as saying I married the best wife a man could have. Not only does she tolerate my family (sainthood guaranteed just for that alone), but she overlooks all the things that would test the patience of a normal person. Like all good couples we have had our struggles and have managed to handle them together. She has taught me a great deal about loving someone unconditionally and being a better man than I ever thought I could be. I am absolutely positive I am where I am in life solely because no matter what I have endeavored to do in my life she has supported me with all her heart. She is not only my strength, my partner, but also my moral compass/conscience.

May all you be as blessed as I am....

Congrats, Mark! It's amazing to hold your best friend in high esteem - even after the newness of love/lust wears away. If more people were on a mission to reach that contented place with the one they love, family attorneys would manage McDonalds nationwide.

An excellent post. I wonder if she posts on or reads the planet. It would be really nice of all of us to let her know how important a huge diamond is when it comes to a 25th anniversary.

*everyone* doesn't bring every spouse to the planet.....but it's almost always good entertainment when they do.

I hope the threadstarter has learned as much about the internet from watching *others* as he has marriage from his bride.

Interesting thing about women when they get to a certain age...you ask them in the most sincere manner you can what they would like for our Anniversary and they answer with "I have everything I need, you don't have to buy me anything". That sets off a chain of events causing me to remember the one thing she has hinted about incessantly that (like most men) I glossed over. Luckily for me, since this was so special I listened more than I usually do.

So....I replaced her original Wedding Ring with a setting she has been admiring for several months now.

Trust me....I learned that lesson from watching the debacle of others who have let their wives post to ChiefsPlanet.

Besides, she came on here once just to see what makes this place so interesting and vowed never to come back. She said something about reeking of juvenile testosterone...and said the place was perfect for me.

I have no idea, I just always see it on here, so I use it, intermittently, sort of like 'meh'

i'm good for typing out 2-3 'mehs' per calendar yr.

Is that the same type of explanation that you used when you got caught taking the Playboy into the bathroom? :D

At least the next time you have to come a little less West. About half the distance as you did last time.

I'd love to have one of those...but not sure what I'd do with it. My daughter would love to have it when she gets 16.

I'm more into this:
