If the goal of a columnist like Whitlock isn't to get people to agree with him, but to get people to have some sort of reaction to him he is a success when you react negatively to him. I believe what Blowfish said, but without proof I think Haley is in the clear. I have had customers lie about me before and I hate when the company takes their side over mine without any proof.

If proof were to arise, however, I do believe Haley should be fined and ordered to appoligize to GB (possible compensation for all of GBs stress and anguish occuring from the incident). However, maybe everyone can learn a valuable lesson in all of this, particularly in regards to today's media: Don't post anything on the internet that you wouldn't want potentially blown up on the ten o'clock news. Unfortunately, it happens these days. I'm not blaming the guy, or any other such nonsense.....but that's reality these days. Sports media is a tiny percentage sports, and mostly everything else. The internet is a source for those folks, so the way you have to combat that is to be diligent in the kinds of things you say that may become of interest to the weasels.

Based on nothing more than my conversations with and impression of Mr. gblowfish, he doesn't seem like the type of person to blow something like this out of proportion ... let alone write an epistle to Jack Harry.

He feels like its been blown out of proportion and he would just like to spend his time geting ready for Christmas. Still, I remain skeptical that Mr. gblowfish would write Harry a letter of that length about this deal. Now, if the subject had been the joys of sexual stimulation using mashed potatoes and an exuberant pug, that might warrant such a lengthy communication because there are a wide variety of options that are not easily explained and Mr. gblowfish is an expert in the field. Maybe I'm all wet, but this incident is pretty cut and dried.

Gblowfish has been a chiefs fan for years and he and/or his friend had a column on their own webpage about their observations from all games and tail gate recipes, etc. He's always been an honest guy. His comment about getting the finger was part of a longer list of observations regarding "fan appreciation day", the team playing horribly, the mascot giving his wife a jockstrap, etc. I don't think he ever thought his observations would balloon out of control.

Nothing good can come out of this for Mr. Blowfish. You'll have some reporter sort through the history of the Planet and comb over all of his comments and drag Mr. Blowfish through the mud - "This man who claims coach Haley gave him the middle finger once wrote to another Chiefs fan that he should 'walk into a flaming aids tree and drink a bowl of antifreeze'.
